The study describes the Peshmerga order of battle in considerable detail. It identifies the 70 Unit's 3rd Special Brigade as Hezekani Kosrat Rasul, personal forces associated with Kosrat Rasul Ali, and places the unit in attempts to retake Jalawla after ISIS captured it in 2014. In its discussion of October 2017, it states that Kosrat criticized withdrawals and ordered his brigade to remain, after which those forces and other Kurdish units resisted advancing Iraqi troops. As a later military study, it is particularly useful for unit-level context.
